This is the last measuring maths lesson of the week! Everyone has been brilliant at showing their skills. Today we will be using what we know to solve some problems, plus there are some challenge cards if you would like to try something more practical.
There are two worksheets for you to complete today if you wish. They are comparing and ordering lengths. The first side of each sheet has the easier questions - so would be good as your cool or warm task. The second side of each sheet has more challenging questions - great if you like a hot task.
If you would like to create some pictograms of your own here are some templates you can print off. Or just draw some of your own. All you need is paper and a pencil!
COOL TASK - watch the three videos saved below and find some facts about The Equator, climate or weather to tell your family at dinner.
WARM TASK - watch the three videos then locate The Equator on the world map found on Seesaw.
HOT TASK - watch the videos, locate The Equator on the world map and identify some countries that lie on / near The Equator and therefore have hot weather and an arid or tropical climate.

HOT - write a comic strip to tell me a story about your first-class and third-class passenger. WARM - draw a comic strip including some things your characters would say to each other to describe the first and third-class areas. COOL - draw a comic strip including a few words that they would say to each other about the third and first-class areas. There is a video below explaining how to use Comic Life if you have the app. Don't get it if you don't as they've started charging for it.

Statistics - Tallying
We are going to be learning how to tally today.
Why don't you practise your tallying skills around the house? How many teddies do you have? Or cars? Or what about the number of different birds, trees or cars you can see out of your window?

For an extra challenge why not write a fun maths quiz for friends or family!
Write 10 questions to test their maths knowledge - but remember - you need to know the answers too!

If you have time this afternoon, have a go at Mrs Cullen's PE challenge. If you input your score to the website, you get a certificate! The password is archery-gymnast-kayaker
If you have counters or coins to help you with this challenge they will be useful - but any round things will do. Paper plates would be fun to use! Or anything circular to draw around.
And don't forget TTRS and Doodle Maths - Complete the daily challenge today!
