Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND)

Special Educational Needs and Disability

Our SEND co-ordinator is Janice Hill.

At Leedon's Little Learners, our staff provide an inclusive environment where all children can access all activities and resources.  We work on a keyperson system to monitor your child's learning and development.  Through the EYFS we will observe and assess your child and then plan their learning and development provision around our observations.

If a parent/carer feels that their child may need extra support please speak to your child's keyperson or to Catherine Power, the Manager in the first instance. This can be discussed before your child starts with us or during the time your child is with us.

If we have any concerns about a child's learning and development we would arrange a meeting with the parent/carers to confidentially discuss those concerns.  We can agree how to work together and, if needed, involve any outside agency professsionals for advice.  We will follow any advice received from other professionals on how to support your child's particular needs.

We also run "Lift off to Language" sessions in small groups for children who need extra support with their speech.
