We began as a Mother and Toddler group over 40 years ago, registering with Ofsted in 1992. We were an independent committee run setting until September 2012 when the management of the pre-school was taken over by Leedon Lower School and our name changed from Brooklands Pre-school Playgroup to Leedon’s Little Learners.
Children can start from 2 years of age, regardless of whether they are toilet trained or not, offering a minimum of 2 sessions per week. Some children may be eligible for 2 year old funding from the term after their second birthday.
We offer morning, afternoon and all day sessions
We hold parent/carer consultations during the year and you are always welcome to come in and discuss your child’s progress at any time.
The pre-school children wear a relaxed version of the school uniform:
Specific items of school uniform with the school logo are available to purchase from the school office.
Sensible shoes or trainers should be worn. Your child will also need a pair of named wellies at pre-school for wet outdoor play. We have a number of waterproof trousers and jackets that the children can use.
From 1st September 2024
Children can start from 2 years of age with 15 hours of funding from the term after they turn 2 years old. They are entitled to up to 15 hours of Government funding per week, subject to availability.
The term after your child turns 3 they are Government funded for up to 15 hours per week. We offer morning, afternoon or all day sessions. If you are interested in all day sessions you can use your 15 hours and any additional hours would be charged at £5.00 per hour.
Some 3 and 4 year old children of working parents may be eligible for up to 30 hours of funding each week. We may offer less than 30 hours depending on availability of sessions.
We offer places in date of birth order in line with our admission policy.
Charges are as follow:
The 15 funded hours can be used per week and any additional hours for 2 year olds will be £7.44 per hour and 3 and 4 year olds will be charged at £5.00 per hour.
All session fees are invoiced and must be paid in full the half term they are charged. We also accept all childcare vouchers.
