L.O. To measure volume

Capacity is how much a container can hold.

Volume is how much liquid is in a container.

We measure capacity and volume in millilitres(ml) and litres (l).

1000ml = 1l

1)  Practise measuring volume on https://ictgames.com/mobilePage/capacity/index.html.

2) Measure the volume from the questions on the activity sheet. How will you know how much each interval on the scale is worth? Show this working out with your answers.

3) Star Challenge: select some of the volumes from your work and place them in order from the smallest to the largest on a numberline.
